Hi, I’m Tyler Inloes, a husband, a father, and a man on a mission to honor God with my body and life. I’m 40 years old, and yes, I’m still on my own fitness journey. In fact, I currently weigh around 265 pounds at about 35% body fat. That might surprise you coming from someone who leads a fitness ministry, but it’s exactly why I do this. I’m not a ripped trainer with a six-pack. I’m an ordinary Christian guy working to transform myself inside and out, using faith as my foundation. And I want to help you do the same.
My Journey from Struggle to Strength
I’ve had a lifelong battle with my weight. I was what you might call a “chunky Christian” growing up I knew all about eating my feelings and then feeling guilty about it. I knew what to do to get healthier, but I just couldn’t stay consistent. That struggle affected more than just my body. Over the years I wrestled with anger and numbness, and my faith grew lukewarm as I drifted through life. I often felt ashamed, sluggish, and even spiritually dry, like I was failing myself and God.
My turning point came when I finally got sick of failing. I was tired of the cycle of self-hate that came with every failed diet. One day I looked in the mirror and realized how much I was risking. I desperately wanted to be present for my son as he grew up, to one day walk my daughter down the aisle, and to honor God by treating my body as His temple. I remember praying, “Lord, I don’t want to waste any more time. Please help me change.” In that moment, I felt a new resolve take root.
I had literally tried everything before every fad diet, every workout program, endless supplements, you name it. But nothing ever stuck, at least not for long, and I finally understood why: I was trying to change from the outside in, instead of the inside out. I was chasing quick fixes without addressing my heart. That day, I decided to do it differently. I surrendered the journey to God, turning to Scripture and prayer with the same intensity that I used to turn to comfort food. I asked God for the strength and discipline I lacked. And He showed up.
Faith-Fueled Transformation
As I started aligning my fitness journey with my faith, things began to change. I discovered that the Bible has a lot to say about how we treat our bodies. For example, I embraced principles from the Book of Daniel, filling my plate with wholesome “God-made” foods (think vegetables, fruits, clean proteins the “Holy Diet” way) and practicing fasting as a spiritual and physical discipline. I also made prayer and Bible reading daily parts of my health routine. In short, I began treating my body as a temple of the Holy Spirit – something to care for, not curse at.
The results were incredible. By relying on God’s Word and wisdom, I lost over 20 pounds in 40 days. But more importantly, I gained something even greater: hope. My energy increased and my depression started to lift. I felt God renewing my mind as well as my body. For the first time in ages, I experienced joy and self-respect blossoming again. And I knew this was just the beginning of a lifelong transformation one that God and I would tackle together, step by step.
That experience lit a fire in me. I realized God was not just changing me for my own sake He was preparing me to help others. I sensed a clear calling: to help fellow Christians who feel stuck in the same mud I was in, and to show them that there is a way out. You don’t have to settle for being overweight, exhausted, and spiritually empty. I’m living proof that when we invite God into our fitness journey, big changes happen inside and out.
My Mission and Message
Today, my mission is straightforward: I help Christian men lose weight, build muscle, and grow in faith so they can become the men God designed them to be and the men their wives and kids deserve. I wake up every day driven by this purpose. I remember the pain of feeling like a failure, and I don’t want any other husband or father to stay stuck there. No matter where you’re starting from, you can make a comeback. And you don’t have to do it alone.
My approach is a mix of the practical and the spiritual. On the practical side, I share workouts, nutrition tips, and habit-building strategies that are simple and effective. On the spiritual side, I emphasize prayer, Scripture, and reliance on God’s power to change us. In fact, I like to think of this whole journey as training to become a “Kingdom Gladiator” someone who is strong in body, bold in faith, and leads their family by example. I’m walking that path in real time, and I invite you to walk it with me.
I also focus on what I call the Four Pillars: Faith, Fitness, Food, and Fatherhood. These four areas are deeply connected in my life. As my faith deepens, I find the discipline to exercise and eat right. As my health improves, I have more energy and patience to be a better father and husband. It’s a holistic approach because getting fit isn’t just about a number on a scale; it’s about becoming the man God created you to be in every aspect of life.
And let me be clear: I’m on this journey with you. I haven’t “arrived” at the finish line I’m still in the trenches, sweating through workouts and staying accountable daily. Every day is a choice to keep going, to lean on God’s grace when I stumble, and to celebrate the small wins. I share my story openly the ups and the downs so you know that you’re not alone and that change is possible.
Join Me on the Journey
By now, you know I’m not a superhero or a saint I’m a regular guy in progress. And I want to invite you to join me in this adventure of faith and fitness. If you’re a Christian man who’s tired of feeling overweight, tired, or spiritually empty, I’m here to help. I’ve created some resources to get you started, like my free 10-Day Daniel Fast Challenge to kickstart your weight loss and spiritual focus. It’s an easy way to experience what happens when you combine biblical principles with healthy eating and thousands have already seen amazing results from it.
For those ready to go deeper, I offer a full program called Project: Kingdom Gladiator, which is a step-by-step system for total body-and-soul transformation. It’s not just a workout plan or a diet (though it will definitely get you stronger and leaner); it’s a community and a road map for living a Christ-centered healthy life. Through that journey, I’ve watched men go from feeling lazy, defeated, and spiritually dull to becoming fit, joyful, confident leaders alive in their faith and purpose.
Ultimately, this isn’t really about me it’s about you and God’s purpose for you. I believe that as you get healthier and grow in faith, you’ll see positive ripples in every part of your life. Your confidence will rise. Your marriage and family life will strengthen. You’ll have energy to play with your kids and be truly present. Most importantly, you’ll draw closer to God, realizing He cares about your physical health just as much as your spiritual health.
So, are you ready to join me? I hope you’ll take my hand and step forward. Let’s pursue this high calling together to honor God with our bodies and become the men we were meant to be. I’m walking this path right alongside you, and I can’t wait to see what God has in store as we fight this good fight of faith and fitness together. With God’s help, we will finish strong.
