Lysa’s friendly writing helps you notice your cravings for food and direct those cravings to God. 


The Daniel Plan by Rick Warren, Dr. Daniel Amen, and Dr. Mark Hyman. This is hands down the most popular and well-known Christian weight loss program out there. The Daniel Plan focuses on “The Essentials,” which are Faith, Food, Fitness, Focus, and Friends. Each topic is discussed and linked to others throughout the book. The chapter on faith and its relationship to you and your body is worth the price of the book.


The Daniel Fast This program is different than the Daniel Plan. The Daniel Fast is a 21-day vegan detox diet. The main focus of this program is for you to feel a deeper spiritual commitment to God as you cleanse your mind, body, and soul. This program gained some popularity when Chris Pratt from Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World, mentioned he was doing it.


The Maker’s Diet by Jordan Rubin. Rubin’s focus on eating organic and fasting came from a health scare that made him think he was going to die.
